CAE – Program Manager (2022 - present)
Doha (Qatar)

My role involves formulating, executing, and upholding program initiatives to fulfill and elevate organizational objectives. I develop assessment protocols to track and evaluate project progress effectively. Upholding organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance is crucial, and I continuously work to maintain and enhance them.

 

I supervise multiple project teams to ensure that program objectives are met within specified parameters. Managing budget allocation and funding channels is integral to maximizing productivity. I maintain a close rapport with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and identify areas for enhancement.

 

Throughout the program lifecycle, I assess and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), tailoring solutions for continuous improvement. I also conduct thorough analyses to identify and mitigate program risks, producing comprehensive reports for management and stakeholders.

As the head of the branch for the NH90 Program, my responsibilities encompass establishing a solid foundation for operations and ensuring seamless functionality. I engage with Ministries and Government bodies regularly to facilitate the day-to-day running of the branch. It's imperative to align our actions with company strategies, expanding our presence strategically while adhering to our goals.

 

Building a robust professional network within the Aerospace and Defence sector is essential, fostering collaboration for mutual benefit. I oversee financial performance, keeping a keen eye on budgetary matters and optimizing expenses where possible. Employee welfare and productivity are paramount; thus, I continuously assess their needs and skills, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes.

 

Maintaining a safe and secure workplace is non-negotiable. I ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and applicable laws regarding security protocols. Additionally, I oversee the Quality Management System, ensuring it remains up-to-date and in alignment with company standards.

 

Continuous improvement is ingrained in our operations. I lead efforts to enhance productivity while reducing costs through a systematic improvement process. Vigilance regarding potential risks is crucial, necessitating the development and regular review of response plans.

Project Manager: Analyzed critical elements in multi-million contracts across the Middle East, devising strategies for efficiency and profitability. Developed customized Project Management platform with comprehensive features for data management, risk tracking, and status monitoring.

UAS SME: Identification of long term strategies for the integration of the UAS military system into the Civil Aviation Traffic Management, providing bridge solutions (directives and publications). Analysis, modification and improvement of pre-existing publications for a better use of the unmanned system within the military boundaries and across domains. 

Senior Instructor Pilot and Head of Standardization and Evaluation Office: Management of the complex of publications, technical manuals, statistical data and courseware to provide an interface that allows the user and the customer to easily and quickly access all the required material while, at the same time, enhancing the teaching/learning experience.

Military Career in the Italian Air Force

61st RPA Squadron Commander (2017 - 2019) - Sigonella (Italy)

Leadership: Accountable for 90 employees: crews, technicians and clerks; 

Performance Enhancement: through the application of Project Management and Lean Six Sigma (+ 40% output); 

Costs Reduction: remodeling maintenance management and crews’ shifts (- 30% budget); 

Innovation: bridging the gap between paper and digital (-25% time spent on papers, -50% money spent on paper and printers) 

Integration: worked on finding a common solution for the co-existence of Unmanned Aircrafts and Civilian Traffic in the congested airspace over Catania (Sicily - Italy), interacting in a multinational environment with Allied Countries.

C-27J pilot (500 hrs), scheduler and flight dispatcher. Developed a platform for the automation of the diplomatic clearances request around the globe for C-130 and C-27J assets.
